Mujtaba Hasan Askari is the Founder of the Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) and a pioneering social entrepreneur dedicated to advancing equitable healthcare access in Hyderabad for nearly two decades.
Originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer, Mujtaba began his professional journey at Infosys, where he built a successful corporate career. Driven by a deep commitment to social impact and humanitarian service, he made the transformative decision to leave the corporate sector and devote his life to public healthcare and emergency support systems.
In 2007, he founded the Helping Hand Foundation (HHF), which has since evolved into one of Hyderabad’s most trusted community healthcare support organizations. Under his leadership, HHF has developed a robust ecosystem of healthcare interventions, emergency response initiatives, and welfare programs that collectively support more than 5,000 individuals every day.
Mujtaba Askari’s work focuses on making healthcare accessible and affordable for underserved communities, particularly those facing acute medical emergencies and financial hardship. Through innovative grassroots initiatives and strategic community partnerships, he has helped establish HHF as a vital pillar of humanitarian healthcare support in the region.
As a Technical Mentor for CfHE, Mujtaba brings extensive experience in healthcare systems, community-centered program development, crisis response management, and social innovation.
