Nemocare Raksha
Nemocare has developed an easy to use, wearable device (“Raksha”), that wraps around the foot and monitors 6 main vital signs – Blood-oxygen saturation, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, perfusion index and heart rate variability, 24 x 7. The device/platform can accurately notify healthcare workers so that they can intervene before it’s too late. In the back-end, vital signs are analyzed by a deep learning algorithm. The entire system works as an intelligent platform that gives accurate notifications and alerts to healthcare workers to enable timely intervention when a distress condition is detected. The device and algorithms are patent-pending. With no technology risk a hospital can make any of its beds into an ICU bed quickly. The simple and easy to use design allows it to be immediately deployable in a clinical setting.
The platform, hence has a comprehensive compilation of all the vital data required to analyze and inherently the data may be used in real time provide early warning scores or other predictive indicators for other conditions and used offline to develop new predictive algorithms. This will prove to be a great decision making tool for the doctors to augment other clinical examination parameters and will help them allocate their resources better and provide quality care and regulate their use of antibiotics.
